Evidence you can
publish behind.

A clip lands in your inbox at 23:00 and someone has to decide: publish, hold, or spike.

Keen Cam examines the file and returns a dossier — every signal named beside the crop it came from. The method is published. So is the line saying what we could not test.

council-clip-0412.mp41536 × 1024 · frame 118 of 240
A frame from a low-light handheld video: a person at a lectern in a municipal meeting room at night, holding a folded sheet of paper.
07 · edge and skin texture
09 · light direction
04 · hand and object edge
crop 04 · 6×
Signal 04. The paper’s edge holds detail where the hand smears, which is what rolling shutter does to a moving hand. It does not establish that the rest of the frame is unaltered, and it cannot be read at all below 480p.

02 what we return

There are exactly 3 findings.

no dial · no gauge · no percentage

Consistent with capture

The evidence we can read points to a camera. We say which evidence, and how far it reaches.

Signs of synthesis

Named signals point to generation or editing. Each one is listed with the crop it came from.

Inconclusive

A finding, not a failure. The evidence supports neither conclusion, and we say what would settle it.

A confidence number is the first thing a hostile lawyer attacks and the first thing a hostile thread misquotes. We do not produce one. We name the signals, publish the method, and state the limit in the same size type as everything else.

03 the dossier

Every dossier has 4 layers.

The same 4 every time, in the same order, against a dated checklist anyone can read.

  1. 01

    Provenance

C2PA Content Credentials, EXIF, container and encoder fingerprints, re-encoding traces

A file stripped by a social platform carries none of this. Absence is not manipulation.

  2. 02

    Synthesis signals

A fixed checklist: hands, teeth, signage, reflections, shadows, edges, noise, splices, flicker

A signal is evidence, not a conclusion. Low resolution silences several of them.

  3. 03

    Findings

Every signal resolved, then one of 3 findings, written as a signed opinion

We do not rank certainty. There is no number to quote out of context.

  4. 04

    Next steps

What would change the finding, what we could not test, and the reporting that settles it

It cannot make the call for you. That stays with the desk.

every dossier ends on a permalink, the method version, an examined-at timestamp in UTC, and the sha256

04 the golden path

4 minutes, start to citation.

Drop the file or paste a URL

No account, no consent gate, no configuration.

  2. 02

    Triage runs free

The whole provenance layer, plus 1 synthesis signal already resolved.

  3. 03

    The dossier is written

About 2 minutes. Signals resolve one at a time, each beside its crop.

  4. 04

    Cite it

A permalink, the method version, and a PDF for counsel.
